Markwayne Mullin, the DHS Secretary, sat down with CNN's Dana Bash and said that many terrorists were allowed in while Biden was in office, then picked up once Trump took over. every one of them, per Mullin, handed over a false identity so nobody would catch on. not people on a watchlist. actual terrorists, he stressed. his reasoning on the rest: anyone who crosses illegally has to be treated as unverified until booking confirms who they claim to be, so he won't simply take their word. the broader argument is that a wide open border pulls in millions of undocumented people, and somewhere in that crowd can be thousands of terrorists. the result, in this view, is a threat to the country's survival that ends with Americans dead. and the claim goes further, that Democrats are fine with terrorists coming in because it grows their voter base
