Pistons decline Kings Sabonis-Duren trade offer
Jalen Duren is who the Pistons are building around, and BrettSiegelNBA says that's exactly why a Sacramento Kings pitch got shut down. The framework would have brought Domantas Sabonis to Detroit, with Duren headed the other way. Per the report, the Kings were ready to put Sabonis on the table. Detroit passed anyway. Bringing Duren back and securing him on a long-term deal is the priority, and that's the whole reason the offer died. Word came through Clutch Scoops.

Maybe a little bit of a segue into our next topic. There was a trade on the table from the Kings perspective, a sign-in trade for Jalen Duren. They were willing to offer DeMontis a bonus to the Pistons, but that's not what the Pistons want. They want to bring Jalen Duren back and secure him on a long-term deal. But again, there's some discrepancies here, Tomer, of what this contract could look like and whether or not Jalen Duren actually wants to remain there long-term. But that's going to kind of lead into our next topic here and bleed into of, could the Kings be on the table for Jalen Duren moving past this season? and ultimately what our contract talk is going to look like for Jalen Duren.
