American vs British vocabulary list

American English and British English use different words for the same things. Apartment becomes Flat, Elevator turns into Lift, and Truck is a Lorry. Vacation is called Holiday, Cookie swaps to Biscuit, and French fries are just Chips. Candy means Sweets, Soccer is Football, Sneakers are Trainers, Diaper is Nappy, and Trash is Rubbish.
