Unitree, the Chinese firm, just dropped an AI model built for general-purpose humanoid robots. In the demos, the robot runs autonomous household tasks: it sorts objects and stacks cups, arranges flowers, handles laundry, organizes shoes on a rack, opens a washing machine, tosses bottles into a bin, deals with kitchen items, and manages a towel in a bathroom. What ties it together is the system combining vision, reasoning, and whole-body control to pull off all these activities. That's a robotics company flexing real household range.

Chinese robotics company Unitree has developed a new foundation model for general-purpose humanoid robots.
