Larry Krasner federal criminal referral
by Flint: Larry Krasner
A federal judge handed down a memo referring Larry Krasner, the Philly DA, to the US Attorney's Office for a criminal investigation. Judge Paul Diamond says testimony in his courtroom raises the possibility that Krasner and a top deputy pushed prosecutors to lie. The whole thing traces back to a man convicted of murder in 2009 trying to get that conviction thrown out, a process Krasner's office had a hand in. Diamond barred him from any further involvement, calling the conduct troubling and potentially illegal. No comment yet from Krasner's office. Publicly available figures put Soros money behind Krasner to the tune of nearly $2 million. He's also said he'd "hunt" ICE agents. Not shocking. Hope he gets fully pursued criminally. Krasner is bad for this country #LarryKrasner

A federal judge has just issued an alarming referral calling for a criminal investigation into Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner. In a stinging memo just handed down, District Court Judge Paul Diamond says the testimony before his court raises the possibility that Krasner and a top deputy may have pressured prosecutors to lie in court. Now these claims stem from an effort by a man convicted of murder in 2009 to have that conviction overturned, a process that required involvement by Krasner's office. In his memo today, the judge barred Krasner from any further participation in that effort, calling his actions, quote, troubling and potentially illegal. We have not yet gotten comment from Krasner's office.
