The regulatory gap between the US and EU on Tesla Semi specs is wild. In America, FMVSS No. 111 blocks camera monitors from replacing physical mirrors for rear or side views, so those trucks keep the real glass plus cameras and a full light strip. Over there, UN-R48 forces heavy vehicles to space lights at least 60 cm apart, killing that single continuous bar in favor of two separate units. Yet Europe actually permits camera-only digital mirrors instead. The standards are just different.
