ICE agents in New Bedford, Massachusetts smashed a car window to take into custody a Guatemalan citizen present without legal status. A man and woman inside refused to open the door, saying they'd wait for their lawyer before complying. That strategy didn't stop the detention from happening. This is the dramatic video of police using a sledgehammer type tool to smash the window of their car and arrest the 29-year-old Guatemalan immigrant. Juan Francisco Mendez's lawyer says he was dragged out of the car on Tallman Street in New Bedford without a warrant. That lawyer says those agents were looking for someone else. And according to the lawyer, the man's wife was a granted asylum status, and he right now is going through the process of applying for asylum.
