Mitch McConnell returns to Senate floor

by Flint: Mitch McConnell

Police were spotted at Mitch McConnell's residence throughout the day while the Senate stayed in session. This marks the first time R-KY has cast a ballot in nearly three months following that bad fall back in June. McConnell addressed the situation directly, stating his recovery has been a long and often frustrating process complicated by lingering effects of childhood polio. He admitted he is still not quite back to 100% but emphasized he continues physical therapy on the advice of his doctors. Despite the hurdles, he assured Leader Thune that as he keeps up with therapy, he will do his best to be present for tough votes whenever the Conference needs him. He added he is really looking forward to being back on the Senate floor and seeing his colleagues again. #MitchMcConnell #JohnThune
