Cape Disappointment, Washington, 2023: a boater bails off his yacht right as the surf is about to make the decision for him. He jumps, and a moment later the water rolls the vessel over anyway. Coast Guard crews got him out. Rough day to be reminded the ocean doesn't negotiate.
