Robotic paiche fish at CIFTIS

At CIFTIS in China, a biomechanical robot built to look like a paiche was put on display. The paiche is a tropical freshwater fish, and the model copies how one actually swims thanks to fluid motion modeling technology. What stands out is how clean the movement is. You can watch it glide and the gap between the machine and a living specimen almost closes completely, to the point where telling them apart gets genuinely hard. #China
