D.O. Hebb neuron wiring rule
by Katrina Karan: Science
Individuals construct their lives through default choices rather than stated intentions. The human brain responds to repetition instead of listening to what you mean to do. D.O. Hebb proposed in 1949 that neurons that fire together wire together, which explains why behavior matters more than desire. Every repeated action strengthens a neural pathway while avoiding discomfort weakens one. Your life is built by the patterns you keep choosing without thinking. This is how the brain monitors your actions over your plans.
