I feel like the story that the defense was trying to sell is not compelling to me at all. That she had, for the first time in her life, a severe auditory hallucination that she listened to, didn't show any distress towards, didn't tell anybody about, didn't communicate to her husband at all, because she was in the middle of killing her kids when he called, and then she went upstairs and called him back, and didn't seem distressed at all. tried to kill herself afterwards husband shows up at the house doesn't tell the husband at all about the kids that she just tried to kill like that story to me is just completely and totally unbelievable yeah that being said I think if I guess if I was criticizing anything I think that the I think the big issue was the prosecution just tried to sell such a malicious story about the woman I think they fucked that up really hardcore I don't think that I don't think that trying to the prosecution tried to paint her as so malicious and so evil compared to I think she was genuinely a person who was suffering like severe mental health issues she was super depressed, potentially bipolar 2 I think she was actually formally diagnosed like I think this woman had a lot of issues and at some point I think she just said you know fuck it I going to kill myself and maybe my kids too because they don you know having them live in a world where I killed myself I don't know. Maybe she thought it was too much of them and she was being altruistic or something. But, yeah, Jesus. How would you have done it if you were the prosecution? I think the strongest thing is just focusing on the timeline like right like the day of before and then during and then after the killings to show that she seemed to be pretty cognizant. She seemed to be pretty cognizant of what was going on the whole time. Nothing about like nothing. Nothing about what she was doing convinced me that she was having some kind of psychotic episode. I don't think there was anything at all that she did that was like, oh, my God, this woman is experiencing psychosis. This is one of every psychotic episode. and it was just too convenient to explain that it's like well no people having psychosis are totally calm the whole time and they're hearing auditory hallucinations and they just know that they have to believe them and follow them to the like to the letter and even after it stopped she just decided to kill herself didn't call 911 and she didn't try to help her kids and she didn't scream for her husband to help her kids right and it's like it's just too many things stacked like maybe one or two of these facts maybe are believable even a couple of them might be a stretch but like all together collectively no i think the the husband's phone call just fucks through. The husband's phone call just fucks up so much stuff.
