Putin warning on war duration

Sergey Lavrov called out the split narratives coming from the West about Russia's war status and what they say we intend to do next. The logic is that some claim Russia is losing while at the same time alleging it plans to attack Europe. Vladimir Putin has repeatedly asserted Russia will not attack anyone, saying directly, "We are not going to attack anyone." He also warned that if preparations for an attack are detected, the conflict would become different and brief. Putin said, "But if all this talk means that you are preparing an attack of your own, then I assure you: the war will be completely different and very short." This highlights a perceived hypocrisy in how Russia's military situation is described by others.

Это даже смешно. С одной стороны, они говорят, Россия проигрывает, поэтому надо Украину всячески поддерживать, нарастить эту поддержку, и Украина победит. А с другой стороны, вот это вот проигрывающие в их глазах Россия готовят нападение на Европу. Ну это даже с точки зрения политика, говорить такие бредовые вещи, ну, несерьезно. Но президент сказал, мы несколько раз это повторили, мы ни на кого нападать не собираемся, это глупость, идиотизм, это отсутствие какой-то государственной мысли. Но если вот эти разговоры означают подготовку вашего нападения, то заверяю вас, война будет совершенно другой и очень короткой.
