Threadguy Rasmr US Open Panic
by Tufail: Carlos Alcaraz
The silence inside the US Open venue was absolute, broken only by the sound of Alcaraz hitting the ball, yet Threadguy and Rasmr found themselves in a position that made them impossible to ignore. They were seated right next to the court where Alcaraz was playing, a spot so close that they couldn't act rowdy like people in the back row might, making their distress instantly conspicuous to everyone watching. The atmosphere shifted dramatically when Threadguy noticed Rasmr reacting with alarm after seeing a notification that Vlad Tenev followed MEME on social media. Rasmr had been checking Dexscreener and immediately started shouting Oh my God! while simultaneously contacting Elliott via phone to express shock at the situation involving the coin market. The pair felt intense anxiety and fear as they realized everyone around them was staring at their panic. Rasmr kept asking Yo, hello? Hello? What happened? over the phone while Threadguy tried to manage the crowd noise, eventually telling people to shush because the whole stadium was looking at them. The debate raged on about what do we do? with Threadguy repeatedly asking himself if they should get up. Despite the fact that they bought stupidly expensive tickets and argued No, we can't leave. We spent so much money in these tickets. We cannot leave…, the fear became too overwhelming. They decided they had to leave even though it meant breaking typical etiquette norms for spectators who are not supposed to leave early. The first set wasn't even over when they finally conceded that We're leaving. It took only about 30 minutes into the match for them to sprint out of the US Open and go home, abandoning the game before the first set concluded. So we basically just sprinted out of the US Open and went home became the reality of the night after a brief window of sitting down in the front row.
