Greek F-4 Phantom crash Athens Flying Week

Both pilots lost their lives when a Greek Air Force F-4 Phantom went down at Tanagra Air Base during an Athens Flying Week performance. The two-seat jet was in a low-level demonstration when it lost altitude pulling out of a turn and struck the ground roughly a kilometer from the audience, going up in a fireball. Spectators were unharmed, but the event was cut short and the grounds cleared. Greece is among the few nations that still operate the Phantom, which makes this one especially hard to watch.
