Tom Holland breaks down the massive disconnect between how Americans and British people handle ordering food. Across the pond in America, it's totally fine to just cut to the chase and say I will have the number two without any of that extra politeness. This cultural clash actually forced a dialect coach to step in during scenes set in New York, telling him to stop saying please because a kid from New York isn't going to say please. He recalls a specific moment on set where someone asked for coffee and he just went sure instead of yes please. The disappointment was visible even through the suit, triggering a memory of his dad always saying no son you can't always go and get it they will bring it to you but you can't go and get it.

And even through the suit, you can see like, I'm like, my dad is going to be so disappointed in me. I mean, in New York, it's gotten to the point where it's like, let me get. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Totally. But that is so, I mean, I'm still shocked when people get, let me get a egg and cheese. It's like, let me get. My dad always says to me, he goes, no, son, you can't go and get it. They'll bring it to you, but you can't go and get it. You can have it. Let me get. But you can't go and get it. They'll stop you getting it.
