Trump NATO South Korea Iran allies no thanks

    by Genesis: Donald Trump

Billions go to NATO and South Korea every year, but when the US actually needed backup for Iran, those allies just said no thanks. Trump's point is that you can't keep writing checks to countries that won't have your back when it counts. He mentioned you could make serious money if you stopped funding the ones who refuse to help. Seems like a no-brainer to cut off the hand that won't shake yours, honestly.

All of the international, we got rid of them with very little help from other countries. And we help other countries. We spend billions and billions of dollars helping NATO and other countries. South Korea is an example. We help them. But when it came to helping us, I didn't put on a heavy cell, but I just said, would you like to participate? And they all said, No, thank you. And I said, I'm going to remember that to myself. And so you could say we're going to make a lot of money because when they're not willing to go for you, you just can't be a stupid person and, you know, help them. They want our help. We have thousands, like in South Korea is an example, we have 40,000 soldiers over there. And I said, do you mind giving us a little hand with Iran, the Islamic Republic of Iran? And they say, well, we'd rather not. I said, okay, thank you very much. I appreciate it. But I think you have to remember that stuff. I really do.
