South-Kivu school return 2026-2027
The streets of Goma and Bukavu turned into a sea of blue and white uniforms this Tuesday 01.09.2026 as the 2026-2027 school year officially kicked off across South-Kivu Province. In Goma, Corneille Nangaa spoke directly to students gathered at the Goma Institute, while in Bukavu, Dunia Bwenge Doux took center stage at the EP Héri Kwetu Center in Kadutu Commune to mark the launch. Acting as Provincial Governor on mission, Doux didn't just start the term; she issued a firm directive for educational sector leaders to ensure no child gets left behind based on physical or sensory capacities. The AFC-M23 is pushing hard to guarantee equal success opportunities for deaf, hard-of-hearing, blind, and physically disabled children, aiming to build an accessible system without discrimination.
