#FARDC vs #WAZALENDO clashes Lubimbé
The fighting isn't coming from the enemy line anymore. Two Wazalendo fighters are dead after clashes erupted between FARDC forces and WAZALENDO groups in Lubimbé, a specific locality inside the Shabunda Territory of South-Kivu Province. These supposedly allied troops are reportedly turning on each other because they disagree about the shared war objectives against AFC-M23. The internal combats have resulted in two deaths, a situation that Wazalendo resistors deeply regret while accusing Felix Tshisekedi of betraying the cause they long defended. This betrayal is driving an increasing number of members to desert their original groups and join the Lions of Sarambwe, which serves as the military wing for the Fleuve Congo Alliance. It is not just the external threat tearing them apart but the FRDC itself firing at their own people.
