CBP detained 95 drivers with undocumented status holding CDLs in Arizona. Eighty percent of those pulled over came from California while others originated in New York. Donald Trump argues that issuing Commercial Driver's Licenses to these individuals endangers public safety. The last year alone saw at least 30 deaths and numerous serious injuries attributed to illegal aliens with commercial licenses. A policy enforcing English proficiency removed more than 24,000 non-English speakers from driving positions. Over 28,000 licenses issued to undocumented people were cancelled as unqualified migrant drivers are being replaced by qualified American veterans. The last year alone, illegal aliens with commercial driver's licenses caused at least 30 deaths and many, many very seriously injured. As president, I made it our official policy to enforce English language requirements for truck drivers and support American truckers on American roadways. We've already removed more than 24,000 non-English speakers from behind the wheel. We've also forced states to cancel more than 28,000 commercial driver's licenses unlawfully issued to illegal aliens. They were given illegally. As we get illegal aliens off the roads today, we're also taking action to replace these unqualified migrant truck drivers with highly qualified American veterans.
