Chazz Palminteri spent a solid 16 hours inside a coffin during the 1993 filming of A Bronx Tale, and he didn't just lie there awake. The padded interior was so comfortable that he repeatedly nodded off and started snoring right in the middle of the scene. Robert De Niro and the crew decided to play along by closing the lid, turning off all the lights, and leaving him trapped in total darkness until he woke up alone and screamed. It got to the point where Joe Pesci had enough and expressed serious frustration to De Niro about the situation. Pesci told De Niro, "Hey Bob, would you tell this kid to get the f*ck up? He's snoring on my scene!" This whole incident happened during one specific take where the actor later admitted the comfort level was genuinely too high for his own good.
