Iron Man vs the Assessor

    by Yawaustin: Miles Morales

After saving New York City from a horde of moltoids, Miles Morales finally opens up to Tony Stark about the Assessor. The man kidnapped him as a child and ran brutal experiments to study his powers. Tony listens and remembers his own helplessness as a grown man, but this time it's personal. He tracks the location down immediately. Walking through the front door, he drops guards without breaking stride. Quantum teleports inside Tony's helmet and launches him into an aerodynamics testing chamber, but Tony destroys it. A gauntlet of electricity, water, fire, and robots follows. Tony takes every hit until he reaches the Assessor. When Quantum strikes again, Tony uses quantum entanglement to put him down. Realizing the Assessor is an AI, Tony reveals he already deployed electro units to dismantle the technology and stop any broadcast. There is no escape. Tony drives the Assessor into the ground and downloads him whole.

After saving New York City from a large group of moloids, Tony Stark and Miles Morales sit down for a quiet sushi lunch. Miles brings up something that has been weighing on him, a man called the Assessor, who had kidnapped him and put him through a series of brutal experiments to study his powers. Frozen, shocked, and cut. Tony listens, and by the time Miles finishes, his mind is already made up. That sounds like someone he needs to find. He tracks the location down fast. On the way, he tells Miles he knows what being taken feels like. The helplessness, the dread, the waiting. But he was a grown man when it happened to him. Miles was just a kid, and that made all the difference. Tony arrives and walks straight through the front door. Guards open fire, and he drops them without breaking stride, telling them they got off easy. More guards wait inside with heavier weapons. Same result. Then Quantum shows up, teleports his fist inside Tony's helmet, and drops him straight in front of the assessor. The assessor calls Tony a subject. Wrong move. Before Tony can react, a wall gives way, and he's launched into an aerodynamics testing chamber. He destroys it. What follows is a full gauntlet. Electricity, water, fire, and robots. All back to back. Tony takes every hit and keeps moving until he finally closes in on the assessor. Quantum strikes again, but Tony uses quantum entanglement to turn the attack against him and puts him down. Battered but standing, Tony looks the assessor in the eye and realizes he's dealing with an AI. He tells him the game was already over before he walked in. His electro units had been deployed ahead of time, dismantling the assessor's technology and cutting off any chance of broadcasting his consciousness to safety. Tony tells him to try escaping. He can't. Tony drives him into the ground, and as the asserter screams, raises his arm and downloads him whole.
