Wickford Essex train derailment
Emergency crews including British Transport Police, paramedics, and fire service are at Wickford Railway Station in Essex after a passenger train came off the tracks. The rear carriages derailed but remained upright with around 40 to 45 people onboard; nobody was hurt. This marks the second derailment in less than 24 hours, following an incident near Lewes that left around 20 people injured. Sky News captured helicopter footage of the scene while suspicions grow that heat may be to blame during a UK-wide wave causing fires.

Well, let's just take you to the scene at Wickford Railway Station in Essex, where we've brought you reports of a train derailing there. The police there, British Transport Police, said that there were reports of the rear carriages of a train derailing, but it has remained in an upright position. So this is at Wickford Railway Station, the Sky News helicopter up in the sky to give you that bird's-eye view of the scene there. You can see the paramedics, the fire service, emergency services, and a number of British transport police, and what looks like railway workers as well in their orange vest, they're at the scene, trying to help clearly probably the people off first and then to assess the situation.
