Julian Newman on his agent

    by Manon Culture: Julian Newman

Julian Newman is blaming his former agent for never reaching the NBA. He says the guy picked him up right after high school during COVID and promised the same NBL opportunities LaMelo had. But the agent had bigger NBA clients and was just selling a dream, so those deals never materialized. Newman says it cost him two or three years, and he ended up getting paid to play in El Salvador or China instead of the G League. #JulianNewman #LaMeloBall

call me delusional, call me whatever. I just think, you know, certain things that happened in my career, in my life that were like, not my fault. When it comes to like, I had an agent out of high school during COVID time, you know, I was promised big opportunities. The same, the same spots LaMelo went, the NBL had a few deals out there and, you know, he was playing with it, trying to get more money out the situation and, you know, that backfired or whatever. And he, he had bigger like NBA clients and stuff. So he was selling us a dream. We can go here, we go there. If not, we go to G League and basically we spent our time there. And, you know, he spent two or three years of my life and still, you know, get paid to play basketball like El Salvador or, you know, China or whatever.
