BeingBeyond U1 robotic hand
by Terrymiller: Science
BeingBeyond's new U1 robotic hand is lightweight at 680 grams, yet it can handle up to 5 kg. It mirrors human hand movements in real time and uses a palm-based controller for teleoperation. All five fingers have tactile sensors, so it can detect contact, adjust its grip, and handle complex industrial jobs. #Science

Inventors at Being Beyond developed a robotic hand called U1 that closely resembles and moves like a human hand. A lightweight controller placed in the operator's palm is used to teach the robot through demonstration. The robot directly mirrors the operator's hand movements in real time. Despite weighing only 680 grams, it can lift up to 11 pounds. Tactile sensors on its fingertips let the robot feel what it is touching, helping it learn complex industrial tasks more efficiently.
