Scratching his supervisor's car has put him in a tight corner.
Transcript (en)
What would you do if you accidentally scratched your boss's beloved car? Matthew knew he had caused a huge disaster. He planned to leave quietly when no one was around, but the moment he stood up, he noticed the dashcam inside the car had perfectly recorded the entire thing. His supervisor already had a bad relationship with him. If the other man found out he scratched his car, who knew how much worse their relationship would become? Since no one had seen anything for now, Matthew decided to leave the scene first, planning to find a way to make up for it later. Luckily his supervisor worked overtime until midnight that day. By the time he drove home it was already completely dark, so he didn't notice the scratch on the car at all. What made Matthew even more relieved was, when he came to work the next day, he received some shocking news. His supervisor had mysteriously disappeared. The higher-ups asked him to temporarily take over his position, and continue investigating the plane crash from two days ago. Matthew immediately seized the opportunity. He turned around and drove straight to his supervisor's house. After confirming that no one was home, he climbed over the wall without hesitation and entered the yard to take a look. Sure enough he saw his supervisor's car still parked in the garage. So Matthew smashed the window glass and secretly broke into the house He found the car keys Matthew originally wanted to delete the evidence from the dash cam but when he inserted the memory card into the computer while searching for the footage of him scratching the car he accidentally discovered a shocking secret one that could cost him his life. Two days earlier, an Adrian 800-passenger plane, flying from Dubai to Paris, crashed near the Alps. All more than 300 passengers and crew members on board were killed. The Civil Aviation Investigation Bureau, where Matthew worked, received the news immediately, and was sent to investigate the cause of the crash, as a genius voice analyst. Matthew was excited to take part in the investigation, but what he never expected was, his supervisor would rather take an intern to the crash site, than bring him along as a genius analyst. Because of this, Matthew was extremely disappointed. He couldn't even get excited about attending his girlfriend's promotion party. Soon after, his supervisor brought the plane's black box back to the office. After confirming that all the data inside was completely intact, They should have been able to find out how and why the plane crashed that very night. But what Matthew never expected was, early the next morning he received a notice, the supervisor in charge of the investigation had suddenly disappeared. The director had no choice but to let Matthew take over the investigation, and work with the intern to reach a conclusion before the press conference that night What shocked him even more was when he listened to the cockpit voice recorder he discovered that the recording which was supposed to be complete only had the final few minutes available Almost all the other data was damaged and could not be recovered. The remaining audio also contained very limited information. He could only vaguely hear. A passenger rushed into the cockpit, while a flight attendant was delivering food to the captain, and got into a struggle with the pilot. Then the recording captured a series of screams in Arabic. Under the pressure of time and the media, Matthew's initial investigation was quickly released as the official conclusion. The media immediately labeled the crash as a terrorist attack. During the following investigation, police also found extremist group propaganda videos on the computer of an Egyptian passenger. At this point the terrorist attack theory seemed to be confirmed. The next day, the director highly praised Matthew's work and officially appointed him as the chief investigator of the crash. Meanwhile his supervisor was still missing, but just as he was preparing to submit the final investigation report, a victim's family member suddenly provided a phone message left by one of the passengers. Although the passengers sounded extremely frightened in the recording, Matthew did not focus on the words themselves. Instead, he noticed a background sound, a broadcast announcing an emergency landing Strangely he could not find this broadcast in the original black box recording so he suspected the crash was most likely caused by a mechanical failure rather than the terrorist attack they had previously believed He even suspected that someone had tampered with the black box data. To confirm his theory, he immediately took a photo posted online by a passenger before the crash, and went to the warehouse where the plane wreckage was stored. Looking at the area where investigators had recreated the passenger cabin, a sudden idea came to Matthew. He sat down in the passenger's seat, then placed himself in the situation during the crash, and observed every detail inside the cabin, as if he was actually there. The result proved his suspicion. The Arab passenger could never have secretly entered the cockpit, because during that period, all the flight attendants were walking through the aisle serving meals. There was no way they would have allowed a passenger to sneak past them. This proved that the terrorist attack theory was impossible. The more likely possibility was that something went wrong with the plane itself. But the question was, why did extremist group photos appear on that passenger's computer? Was it just a coincidence, or was someone deliberately trying to hide the truth? Was his supervisor's disappearance also connected to this? What Matthew was about to face, was not just a plane crash investigation, but a massive mystery that could swallow him at any moment.
