Abdellatif Ouahbi on Ceuta and Melilla
Morocco’s Justice Minister Abdellatif Ouahbi told Arab TV that Ceuta and Melilla are Moroccan soil, a stance the country has held since independence in 1956. He says the issue comes up in every meeting with Spain and will be resolved through negotiation and patience. In April a House Appropriations Committee report placed the cities in Moroccan territory and urged the State Department to help broker talks, but on August 6 the State Department backed Spanish sovereignty unequivocally.

هذا ندر منه ما زالنا مطروحا ونقل المكان الذي قام الإسبان نطرح الإشكال ولكن لنا سياستنا في التعامل مع هذا الموضوع بنفس طويل ونقلنا كذلك سياسة فداخل سبتمني يوجد مغاربة يوجد إسبان ونحن ما زالنا نتمسك بأراضينا وهذا يحتاج لنفس طويل ونريد أن نحل الإشكال بالحوار
