When Miles fully embraced his responsibilities as Spider-Man, he lost the hottest girl in his school because he was late for their date. His grades also began to decline, causing his mom to scold him over the phone. During his history class, the teacher asked Miles a question from Chapter 1, but he wasn't able to answer it as he hasn't even started reading the book. Suddenly, Miles began to hear sirens as he saw a fire truck speed past his school. He told the teacher that he needed to go to the bathroom, but she refused. So Miles took his bag and left the class despite the teacher's refusal. He immediately followed the fire trucks and saved a school bus full of children from a crash. He started evacuating them from the vehicle before a man told him to go save other people and let them help the kids. Miles did as they asked and swung towards the explosion. He discovered that the Avengers were having a tough time fighting a demon that was causing the chaos. Miles asked the demon what he wanted and it replied saying it was subjugation. The two then began to fight as Miles zapped it with his venom powers. This caused the creature extreme pain as it disappeared, telling Miles that it would be back. Afterwards, Peter came and saw the destruction, asking Miles what he had done. Miles then told him about the demon and how it was beating the Avengers before he arrived Peter told Miles to leave because his mask was torn and people might recognize him Suddenly the demon appeared again while Peter was giving Miles some advice Peter foot got stuck as he dodged the demon attack, causing him to hit his head on the ground. Miles single-handedly fought the demon again, using Captain America's shield to gain the advantage. He used his camouflage ability to sneak up on the demon, striking it in three different places with his venom blasts. This severely weakened the demon as Miles landed the finishing blow. People began to cheer for Miles asking him to hit the demon again. The Avengers recovered and thanked Miles while Tony called Dr. Strange to come pick up the demon. Shockingly, the police arrived to arrest them as one of them said he didn't know who Miles was, but Peter told them he was Spider-Man and asked them to show some gratitude. They then put their guns down as Peter advised Miles to always use baby powder to reduce chaffing. When he got home, he told Genki everything as they both watched the news on his iPad. They saw a video of a girl on YouTube who showed them a footage of the incident. She revealed that Miles was black because his mask got torn during the fight. This got Miles angry because he wants to be known as Spider-Man instead of Black Spider-Man. Later when he got back from school, he met his grandmother at home because his mother had called her to discipline him for having bad grades.
