Iron Man Doomsday ending debate
by Professional Portal ☀️: Arthur Conan Doyle
I am Iron Man could’ve been the perfect mic-drop for Avengers: Endgame (2019) if they’d saved it for Doomsday. Killing off characters with untapped potential just feels wrong. Arthur Conan Doyle did the same in The Final Problem (1893), having Sherlock Holmes plunge from Reichenbach Falls with Moriarty. He kept a backdoor though, the body was spotted but never recovered, so a comeback was always in play. People were so heated they wore mourning clothes in the streets. Doyle eventually reversed it in The Adventure of the Empty House (1903), revealing Holmes faked his death.
