    Michael Jackson swept three big categories at the 1980 American Music Awards, all for Off the Wall. He won Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist, Favorite Soul/R&B Album, and Favorite Soul/R&B Single for “Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough.” In his speech he thanked CBS, Quincy Jones, his parents, the fans, promotion people including Freddie Mann, and the DJs, and said three awards made him really happy.
