Ivan Bering Strait journey to America

    by Gupma: Movies

Ivan crossed the Bering Strait solo, 86 kilometers, just to meet his favorite streamer in America. He made it to a tiny island where a hunter put a gun on him while he was drinking water. They took his backpack and all his stuff, and he didn't fight back because they could've killed him. When the hunters realized he was headed for America, one of them climbed a rock and pointed the way: left for America, right for Russia. He even shared some details about America, which gave Ivan a bit of comfort. Exhaustion hit and he passed out. When he woke up the next morning, the hunters were gone, and so was his speedboat. Border Patrol found him right then and asked who he was and why he came. In broken English he said Detroit, but the officer told him to drop that dream, nobody's selling a ticket to an illegal immigrant. Ivan didn't understand and thought he was about to get arrested, so he grabbed a flare gun in panic. The officer drew his weapon too but stayed calm, saying if he put it down they'd take him to America. He got on the patrol boat and started walking toward the city center like they told him, but after a full day of walking he still couldn't reach it. When he got hungry he ate the cotton candy the officer gave him, and when he got thirsty he drank from a lake. By the seventh night his body gave out, he collapsed and fired one last flare as his final hope. The next day he felt a little better, saw whale bones scattered everywhere, and prayed to go home. He opened his eyes back in his hometown, laughing with joy, and then his dead friend appeared right in front of him.

As he was drinking water, a man suddenly pointed a gun at him. The hunters took his backpack and stole all his belongings. Ivan didn't resist because they could have killed him at any moment. When they found out Ivan wanted to go to America, one hunter stood on a rock and showed him the way. He said, go left for America, go right for Russia. He even told Ivan a lot about America, which gave him some relief. That night, Ivan fell asleep from exhaustion. The next morning, when he woke up, the hunters were gone. They hadn't just stolen his food, they had taken his speedboat too. Just then, American Border Patrol officers found him. They asked his name and why he had come. In broken English, Ivan said he wanted to go to Detroit. The officer told him to give up that dream because no one would sell a ticket to an illegal immigrant. But Ivan couldn't understand what they were saying. He thought they were about to arrest him. Panicking, he picked up a flare gun. The officer drew his weapon too, but calmly told him that if he put the gun down, they would take him to America. Eventually, Ivan got on the patrol boat. Following the directions the officers gave him, he started walking toward the city center. But even after walking all day, he still couldn't reach it. When he got hungry, he ate the cotton candy the officer had given him. And when he got thirsty, he drank water from a lake. By the seventh night, he was completely exhausted. He collapsed to the ground and fired one last flare as his final hope. The next day, he felt a little better. He saw countless whale bones scattered across the ground and prayed to return home. When he opened his eyes, he found himself back in his hometown. He laughed with joy. Then, his dead friend suddenly appeared in front of him.
