Michael Beasley on Shay Shay
Michael Beasley sat down on the Shay Shay show and got into what that season really was for him. His mother died that year, and while he was on the bus crying, LeBron and Magic were laughing. That was the year everyone made him the joke. He said if he had a bad game it was the worst thing ever, if he had a good game it was written off as luck, and he still can't get through a good game without people digging up his past. Even now in the Big 3 they act like he doesn't belong. Stephen A. Smith met him when he was 15 and didn't say a thing, then at 18 he's talking about character issues without knowing Beasley was catching the bus to the gym and walking a mile after. He said the character knocks came from people who grew up with a fridge when he didn't, and nobody ever asked him anything, they just assumed he came from where they came from and judged him. Trevor looked at him and said he's the smartest guy he's ever met but loyal to the dumbest people, and Beasley says he knows that now.
