A fire that started in a vehicle at the EMKO plant near Tryavna jumped to a warehouse storing finished munitions, triggering an evacuation through Bulgaria’s BG-Alert system. Kristina Sidorova, Gabrovo’s regional governor, confirmed on Nova TV that residents were told to leave their homes. The factory is one of the few places outside Russia that mass-produces Soviet‑standard artillery rounds, 122 mm, 152 mm, and 125 mm calibers, and since the war began its output has been a critical pipeline for Ukraine’s forces
