SUSPIRIA’s visual style is built on a deliberate rejection of naturalistic light. Dario Argento and cinematographer Luciano Tovoli leaned into saturated primaries and a specially processed Technicolor to turn the academy into something totally unreal, like a nightmare caught in vivid color.
