Astrobase Space Technologies out of Bengaluru revealed the Everest rocket engine, a full-flow staged combustion design that runs on liquid oxygen and methane. It cranks out 800 kN of thrust with a specific impulse of 340 seconds and can throttle between 50% and 110%. The plan is to build and test around 20 units before the first orbital flight, aiming at reusable medium-lift launchers.
