Kawagoe mosque demolition order
Japan isn't playing games. An illegally built mosque in Kawagoe, Saitama Prefecture just got an official demolition order from municipal authorities, straight violation of the City Planning Act. The Pakistani community asked for five years to get their affairs in order before it's torn down, and the authorities said no. No extensions, no sympathy. The text puts it bluntly: in their homeland they destroyed Buddhist statues without a second thought, so why should Japan show leniency? Demolish it without delay. #Japan #Politics
