Brendan Fraser Golden Globes incident
Brendan Fraser is talking about being groped by the president of the group behind the Golden Globes. It went down at a Beverly Hills hotel lunch in 2003, back when he was on top of the world off The Mummy and George of the Jungle, a $45,000,000 franchise on his shoulders. He says he felt sick, like a little kid, with a ball in his throat, and it spiraled into depression and blaming himself.

Revealed about your assault at the hands of that Hollywood exec. Do you think that you were blackballed in the aftermath of that? I don't know if that's the term that I would use, but I know that I felt that there's a time in anyone's career when the phone stops ringing. And I don't think that the HFPA really wielded that much power. This was not an executive. This was a former president of that organization, which is essentially journalists. I'm hopeful that we can make even more progress than we have done already which is a good start and so far as I'm speaking up when when if and when this happens to people and if I was I would never know it but in a career we all take turns you know and I'm I'm, and I also think that things, you know, they seem to happen for a reason. And I know that in the very busy time I had in the early 90s, I reached a point where I wanted to get off the merry-go-round and I wanted to, you know, stop the music and have kids and a family and that kind of thing.
