binary counting on a wooden counter
Ok so this guy literally has a wooden counter with eight digits and he just walks through counting from one to sixteen in binary. flips the bits by hand, all casual, no screen or anything. when he hits sixteen the whole thing rolls over and resets to all zeros, like a hardware overflow in real time. it’s such a clean way to see how binary works, especially with the vintage lab gear in the background making it feel like a lost engineering demo

So here we go, counting in binary. Just turn this into one, two, three, because both bits there are wrong, four, five, six, going well so far, seven, eight, yeah, I'm doing it, nine, ten, eleven. Yep, 12, 13, 14, 15, and watch what happens when I get to 16. That's it. Brilliant, thank you.
