    Mimic Robotics out of Switzerland just revealed the M1 robotic hand, and the way it moves is wild. Tendon-like cables pull from forearm motors, no tiny motors crammed in the fingers. It trains through a wearable called U1 that maps human hand motions straight to the robot. Can clamp down on over 25 kg yet still sense 50 grams. #Science

    Meet Mimic Hand M1, a robot hand designed to match the capabilities of the human hand. Instead of placing tiny motors inside its fingers, it uses tendon-like cables connected to motors in the forearm, just like our muscles pull tendons to move our fingers. It learns from a wearable exoskeleton called U1, which lets a person demonstrate tasks by directly mapping their finger movements to the robot. The M1 can grip objects weighing over 25 kilograms while detecting weights as light as 50 grams.
