Brittany Renner figured her Muslim phase would stick around way longer than 10 months, but after things ended with Kevin Gates she picked up drinking again and knew the lifestyle wasn't for her. She said braiding her hair just to make the hijab work was part of what did it, “I had to braid my hair to fit in that damn hijab like I wasn’t tryna do that”

I'm not gonna lie, Britt, I knew the Muslim phase wasn't gonna last long. Why? Why did you think that? I actually thought it was, though. Like, I mean, I went 10 months, and I didn't drink until the very end. We're not gonna get into that story, but... I think what I didn't like is constantly having to frickin' braid my hair down. There was a lot of other stuff that I didn't like, too, but... I was just like, well, I gotta frickin' braid my hair to fit in this damn hijab. Like, I'm not trying to do that. It just didn't feel like me, you know?
