Shaquille O'Neal told a story on ABtalks about keeping a promise he made as a kid. He'd tell his grandmother he'd buy her a house and a car when he got rich, and she always knew exactly what she wanted: the house across the street and a Cadillac. After that first check came, he knocked on the neighbor's door and bought the place for $100,000 over asking. His grandmother ended up moving from 100 Oak Street to 93 Oak Street.
