Spencer Oliver Wall Street Journal story
Spencer really told Oliver how he used to steal Wall Street Journal papers, sell them back to the vendors for profit, then buy an abandoned warehouse, burn it for insurance money, and get a Maserati. He’d park right next to the principal to show who was boss. Oliver’s dad shows up offering a million dollars for Spencer to stop hanging out with his son, but Spencer refuses and says Oliver’s been a great asset. Then Oliver tells his dad Spencer’s an old man with no family, while Oliver has a great one, basically choosing to stay. Ends with Oliver saying “I feel like you’re manipulating me” and Spencer going “A little”

Are you stealing my Wall Street Journal? Good job. When I was your age, I stole hundreds of papers. Sold them back to the vendors for a profit. Kind of a reverse paper route. Then I took that money, bought an abandoned warehouse, burned it to the ground for the insurance money, and bought a Maserati. At school, I made sure I parked next to the principal so he knew who was boss. Sir, that's the most inspiring story I've ever heard. Oh, hey, Greg. I know why you're here. You're afraid I'm going to corrupt your board. Yes. But you should know, he's been a real great asset to me. I feel like you're manipulating me. A little. What do you mean? How much to make you change your mind? You can't pay me to hang out with my son. One million dollars. Seriously? I no longer want you hanging out with Spencer. He's not the type of person we want you learning from. Dad, Spencer's an old man. He's alone and has nobody in his life. Oliver, I don't think that... Spencer has no family. But you know who does? You do, big guy. And it's a great family. I feel like you're manipulating me. A little.
