Sky News has learned that European leaders are accelerating moves to bring down Infantino. The rebellion is intensifying against Gianni Infantino. This really is getting a lot more serious for the FIFA president. He's lost the confidence of two of the regional football confederations covering Europe and North America. They're pursuing their concerns about his leadership despite the fact Infantino first revealed to Sky News He was abandoning the attempts to sell shares in the World Cup by launching a new commercial venture with private investors. This is part of the latest damning statement from UEFA. It talks about we must identify those responsible and hold them to account. Talking about devising a plan to make sure it cannot occur again and saying that no options should be off the table. Look at this I filmed in February in Wales. There on the left is Victor Montagliani. And I'm hearing that the CONCACAF president is a potential contender to replace Infantino. What's caused so much anger is Infantino conceiving these plans in secret to create a new venture for the money-making parts of FIFA and selling 20% of it off to private investors. Gianni Fantino was brought in to try to rebuild trust. And now just two weeks after, he was seemingly at the peak of his powers handing out the World Cup to Spain. he could be about to be brought down by his own hubris.
