Iraq ammunition depot explosion
A large explosion at an ammunition depot belonging to the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) has enveloped Al-Haritha in southern Iraq with smoke. The PMF is an umbrella group of Iran-aligned militias. This incident follows a missile salvo by the IRGC targeting U.S. forces in Jordan, during which American tankers were in the air across the region. Baghdad had deployed troops against the PMF earlier this week in an effort to halt drone launches toward Kurdistan and the Gulf states.
