Jensen Huang is calling out competitors, suggesting they're hyping up AI doomsday scenarios to influence legislation in their favor. He told Axios that some companies are counting on government regulations to give them an edge. This comes after Sam Altman previously asked for a new agency to license AI development at scale and enforce compliance, a move that would benefit OpenAI due to its resources, potentially disadvantaging smaller startups. Huang also weighed in on Anthropic's Mythos model, which identified security flaws in operating systems. He believes Anthropic should make Mythos available to everyone, not just select institutions, stating that withholding it doesn't help the US. As for the future, Huang doesn't foresee an AI bubble within the next five years, despite acknowledging industry-wide shortages of chips, memory, land, power, and construction workers for data centers. He views these shortages as beneficial, preventing supply from outpacing demand.
