I had the idea to paint my own wallpaper, but I don't know if it's actually gonna work. So I teamed up with Scotch Blue Pro Chart Painters Tape and decided to try it out. See, our millennial gray guest bedroom is begging for some color. So after choosing a white and three different blues, I busted out my Scotch Blue Pro Chart Painters Tape. Because this is a project where I just need those super crisp lines. And of course, Scotch Blue has that Edge Lock Plus technology, so all I have to worry about is choosing the right three colors. Once I got the vertical lines on the wall, I was getting so excited. Because look how fun. And then I busted out the Scotch Delicate Surface Painter Tape. Which is perfect for this wall because it is freshly painted. Although I was kind of digging the purple with the blue, I decided to stick to the plan and I busted out my second blue for this wall. If it feels kind of confusing, I get it. Gingham is a trickier pattern than I thought. This is my darkest blue for the wall and what I just painted is going to result in horizontal lines. So I'm doing yet another layer of vertical stripes with Scotch Delicate Surface Painter's Tape. And for this third layer of tape, it was really easy to apply because I just followed the paint lines underneath it. Now I'm going in with that medium colored blue. This is going to tie the whole pattern together. And then it was time for that moment of truth and thankfully it turned out perfect. This really was so satisfying.
