NASA is preparing to launch a lunar rover named Viper to land on the moon's south pole. The main goal of this mission is to search for ice and other potential resources on the dark regions of the moon. The rover will also use sensors and drills to collect data from the moon's surface. The rover is also equipped with a headlight to explore areas of the moon where sunlight has never been seen. If everything goes according to the plan, the Viper Moon mission will become the second spacecraft to soft land on the moon's south pole, just after the Vikram lander of India.
