Where you from? I don't bang. A young black boy was brutally gunned down in broad daylight by three attackers. The bus driver who witnessed everything acted as if it was nothing unusual. Even after police rushed to the scene, the three witnesses all claimed they had seen nothing. With no other option, the officers brought them to the station. Growing up in a rough black neighborhood, the girls had learned from an early age how to survive. When questioned by white police officers, they firmly stated that they were under 16. Without their parents present, they would not answer any questions. As for testifying in court, that was completely out of the question. The officers decided to question them separately. With no progress being made, they could only wait for the girls' families to arrive. The police assumed the families would sympathize with the murdered boy and encouraged the girls to testify as witnesses. But things did not go as expected. The family members refused to cooperate. No matter how many times the white officers appealed to them, the black woman remained unmoved. Even the offer of relocation failed to change her mind. Move me? I'm not moving anywhere. Where do you live, sir? I live in a state. When you live around here, in this world, with what we got going on, then you got the right to tell me what to do. Left speechless by her response, the officers could only watch as she took the three witnesses away. Just when they thought the shooting would become another unsolved case, one of the girls suddenly called the station. She provided the license plate number of the killer's vehicle. She explained that she had stayed silent earlier because she did not want the other two girls to know. Using the plate number, the police quickly tracked down a suspect connected to the shooting. An alert was immediately sent out to patrol units across the city. That same day, a rookie officer on his very first shift spotted the vehicle. Finding himself involved in such a dangerous case right away, the young officer could not hide his nervousness.
