Trump orders airstrikes on Iran

    President Trump has ordered a series of airstrikes inside Iran, following through on his earlier threat. The strikes come after Iranian actions in the Strait of Hormuz, which the administration has characterized as a provocation. This marks the second consecutive night of U.S. military operations against Iran.

For a second consecutive night U.S. forces are carrying out airstrikes inside Iran. This is something that President Trump said earlier here at a NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey that would probably happen in response to Iran targeting those three commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. President Trump saying earlier today the ceasefire with Iran is over, but he does not see the war restarting. He did say he could reach back for this on the high seas, Will. And we may put down the blockade. We may put it back, the blockade. And it'll only be a blockade for Iran. Anybody else can have whatever they want. Now, here in Ankara, Trump said behind closed doors he gets along with most of the other 31 nations.
