And there has been talks of a potential sign-in trade with the Los Angeles Clippers. And so the Clippers just finalized their big 16 trade that evolved John Collins and Santi Aldama from the Memphis Grizzlies going to the Dallas Mavericks. I think it was Karis LeVert getting traded last night to the Milwaukee Bucks. Big 16 trade for cap reasons. And now when you look at the Clippers cap books, they have a path to doing a sign-in trade for Peyton Watson if they want to. Now from the Nuggets side of things, everything that we've been reporting for the last month here clutch points you can check out all of our intel stories in our exclusive columns on the website they do not want to see peyton watson leave they are prepared to match any deal and that's why no team has signed him to an offer sheet yet and really the only team out there that still has interest and has the flexibility to even make it possible is the clippers there's talk of the brooklyn nets or the pistons getting involved those two teams aren't involved especially the detroit pistons they are not targeting peyton watson at this time and so it's really just the Clippers are the nuggets now for Peyton Watson. It comes down to how much money the Clippers can potentially open up. Do they make another trade to then sign Peyton Watson to an off sheet north of $30 million? Because if they do, that could be a price point that Denver doesn't match then, because that would put them in a big financial burden, especially because Jokic is going to have a big contract coming next summer. Like we mentioned, he declined his extension now to be able to sign that mega deal next summer. And so if you have Peyton Watson on the books for $30 plus million dollars you're going to have to gut your entire roster because that repeater tax of being in the second apron is just going to kill an organization and so when you look at Peyton Watson now his deal most likely from the Nuggets standpoint is in the 25 to 28 million dollar range he's waiting to see if the Clippers either match that or make it bigger but as I've been saying to him I just don't see a scenario where the Nuggets are going to let Peyton Watson go I think that he's going to be heading back to Denver
